Center for Cooperative Resolution

The Center for Cooperative Resolution (CCR) is the coordinating structure for interpersonal and organizational problem resolution at NIH.  Using a three-structured approach, CCR provides neutral and independent assistance to members of the NIH community.

  • - The NIH Office of the Ombudsman provides neutral, informal, confidential and independent assistance to the NIH community.   The NIH Office of the Ombudsman is not involved with formal resolution processes (i.e., administrative grievances, EEO actions).

  • - The Peer Review Program provides both neutral facilitators for resolution of Stage 1 administrative grievances and professional coordination of Stage 2 administrative grievances.

  • - The EEO Mediation Program provides neutral professionals to mediate EEO disputes when (pre)complainants request ADR resolution.
